No. Our Place Respite is a social model respite program, not a medical or healthcare service. Our focus is on friendship, engagement, purpose, and community rather than medical care.
While there are similarities, Our Place Respite is different from traditional adult day care.
Our model emphasizes relationships, companionship, volunteer engagement, and meaningful activities in a warm community environment.
The program meets:

Each day may include:

Yes. Lunch is provided for participants and volunteers each program day.
Absolutely.
We encourage families to visit, meet our team, and learn more about the program before making a decision.
This is very common.
Our staff and volunteers are experienced in helping new friends feel welcomed, comfortable, and connected.
We will work closely with families to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Many of our friends may be living with Alzheimer's disease or another form of dementia.
Eligibility is based more on a person's abilities and needs than on a specific diagnosis.
