Jennifer serves as the Executive Director of Our Place Respite, a new community program dedicated to supporting individuals living with dementia and the caregivers who walk alongside them.
A native of Alexander City, Jennifer has deep roots in the Lake Martin area and returned home in 2018 after living in several cities across the country, including Springfield, Missouri; Katy, Texas; and Chicago, Illinois. Jennifer brings a background in people-centered, community-focused work, along with a strong passion for building programs that serve families with compassion, dignity, and purpose.
As Executive Director, she is responsible for launching Our Place Respite, developing programs and partnerships, and creating a welcoming environment where caregivers can find meaningful support and relief. Jennifer’s commitment to this work is also personal. Both her grandmother and great-grandmother suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, giving her firsthand insight into the emotional and practical challenges families face when caring for loved ones with dementia. That experience fuels her dedication to ensuring that caregivers in the Lake Martin community do not have to navigate this journey alone.
Jennifer and her husband, David, live in the Lake Martin area and have two children—a son, Max, and a daughter, Claire, who is married to John. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys spending time on Lake Martin, especially summer days on the water with her family and their dachshund, Millie.
